Sidney Crosby, who did not play in a Game 6 loss to the New York Rangers, skated with the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday, coach Mike Sullivan said.
The Penguins have only said that they suffered an upper body injury after taking a high hit from Rangers defender Jacob Trouba in Game 5 on Wednesday.
Crosby participated in alternate practice and did not wear a non-contact jersey, but Sullivan would not say whether his star has been cleared for contact.
Crosby also skated in person on Friday with skills coach Ty Haynes. Crosby had nine points in the first five games against Rangers.
Also returning to the ice on Saturday were starting goalkeeper Tristan Jerry, who has yet to play in this playoff series due to injury,
and winger Ricard Raquel, who hasn't played since Game 1 after taking a hard hit.
Sullivan told reporters that all the players would go to New York for Game 7 on Sunday.
