Charles Oliveira will be stripped of the UFC lightweight championship after missing weight Friday at the UFC 274 weigh-ins.

Oliveira came at 155.5 pounds, a half-pound over the cutoff for a lightweight title battle.

Oliveira originally came to the scales with five minutes staying in the underlying weigh-in period.

Yet again he was allowed an extra hour to cut the weight, yet he missed it subsequent to returning.

the UFC said the activity of stripping Oliveira's title will occur "upon the beginning of the headliner main event.

Gaethje (23-3), who trains out of Denver, came in at 155 pounds and is a previous break champion.

He ineffectively tested Khabib Nurmagomedov for the undisputed crown in 2020.

previous title challenger Donald Cerrone (36-16) came in at 155.5 pounds for a session against individual veteran Joe Lauzon (28-15).
